Government has to offer many incentives. While I understand that so many people have lost their land because of undue influence of Ramjoji, it is not some thing that happens with every Project. I have worked in a Cement factory when I was in India. For acquiring the land for cement factory management had to go through different political channels and do so many unethical things. I hope that every one who has lost the land for these kind of projects have been approprirately paid by Law.
I do not want to advocate for Ramoji but just thinking with logic. I appreicate your Song and sentiments expressed.

‘NONE of them, who has lost the land for these kind of projects have been approprirately paid by Law’, even if some have been paid it’s because they are connected to the people in power / lobby., there is enough evidence to prove this.
What can we do about this?
Well for starters everyone standing for “The cause of Telangana” can stop Buying Priya pickles & unsubscribe Eenadu , Etv. (this can start the ripple required) rest will follow suit.
The question arises … What will this achieve?
A lot ! If we learnt enough from the ‘Swadesi Movement’ (which was not just a political movement or an economic movement. It was a movement for total emancipation of every Indian in all walks of life?political, economic, social, cultural)
The counterparts will always question that “The cause of Telangana” is no comparision with ‘Swadesi Movement’ , Yes Sir ! it is.
This is the last chance (Know more here http://www.musitv.com/TJF.html )
ఇదే ఆఖరి మోఖా ! జై తెలంగాణ !

Yes, stop using all andhra made products and start promoting our Telangana made products. We can begin with our chai, woven fabric from Pochampally, Gadwal, our own govt buses, as most of the travel services are run by Andhra people

Dear JayaPrakash
i am drawn to your comments on alienation from one’s land, compensation and related questions. you and subramanyam have raised issues in the context of ramoji film studios acquiring large tracts of land by means that are controversial. subramayam’s belief is that it is alright if people were adequately compensated. someone disputes on compensation being adequate or not. debate is interesting
displacement is an issue each one knows well when it pinches them. like the politician when his constituency is redefined, gets party ticket in another location, or a salaried conscience is tormented by undesirable transfer and so on. it is news too in such instances. we hear the noise of such politicians so also of an employee transferred to some location. we see furniture in party office reduced to pieces and the description of agony in choicest words. we see heaven and earth being moved and flood of rationale in the service of such pain. that is ‘popular displacement’, Displacement of interest to media and mainstream intellectuals
Nehru described hirakud dam as temple of modern India. Darryl D’Monte asked whether it was “temples or tombs”. present mega size displacing projects are graveyards of current and future india where ministers in the ruling and lesser characters compromised to sitting in the opposition are sharing spoils like tamed dogs of contractors.
questions about price can be resolved easily. and some compromises for collective benefit are often made by our communities that value common good. but not that of illegal decisions forced down the throat of the powerless people. this is an issue which is not just a question of micro economics or real estate politics, the gap between these two in andha pradesh is increasingly becoming short, thanks to YSR and his aides in almost all parties, but one of ethics and morals.
its not economics, because economics or trade ends when something is not a commodity. and unfortunately freedom, compassion, norms, pride of being part of something are not things for trade in the bazaar like the lands of doras or the shares of tatas and reliance. anything of such groups is for sale for an appropriate price. which is not the case with others.
poor people consider land as life and as part of their attachment to all that is life to do with one’s own life and also as the relationship with their ancestors and their children. that is why there are land struggles and movements and martyrs. all that is alien to business and real estate brokers who buy or force to be sold anything that is irksome to them or eliminate by means ‘legal’ or otherwise
these issues raise questions of ethics and justice and one finds movements across the country. they ask why those who form like one fourth of the country’s population -the dalits and the adivasis- are half to three fourths of the displaced population in this country? why the vulnerable communities are asked to become sacrificial goats always? is it development and if yes! whose development is it???
question of a price being adequate is valid only when the thing is offered for sale. when it is not, then it is illegal. and there is nothing ‘appropriately paid by Law’ in things illegal. i know of the koyas of bhadrachalam and chintur mandals who asked whether one would accept death if the price is good? may be economists, real estate fellows, ysr or ponnala laxmayya and their type do it. but not the ordinary people who live far from such ‘wisdom’ of tradeoffs. they refuse because they question “బంగారు కత్తి కదా అని మెడ కోసుకొంటమా?” they know the midas touch and the meaning of money. YSR and his school thinks anything is for sale for a better price. ప్రతిసారి he talks of offering a good price. like some stupid minister earlier said “farmers are committing suicide for lure of compensation amounts” and an angry farmer asked “నీ రేటెంత చెప్పు?” (what is his price to die)..which all the farmers of his village are prepared to pay for his head?
issue is one of vulgarizing human tragedy to compensations and adequate or appropriate price.
ramoji film studios, sanghi industry and many other projects around hyderabad and many other projects in the districts are uprooting mercilessly several villages and communities to satisfy the greed of unscrupulous elements .
jack london in his ‘iron heel’ (ఉక్కు పాదము) describes the rich as criminals like those who robbed and killed others in looting. fellows like ramoji and his supporters are no less criminals than the ones who are loathed by anyone who is stealing the food of a child in the street సాంఘీ పరిశ్రమలొ బాల కార్మికుల చావులు వార్తల్లొ నలిగి పోయినయి
i repeat the debate about displacement and related issues is not a question of price being adequate or the law being appropriate or not. hope friends understand the question is not as simple as price economics like buying vegetables in bazaar
మీ ఇండ్లు కాదనె కదా మీ నోర్లు పడిపోతయి, మీ తెలివి దొరల సేవలో ఈగిపోతది? people ask why development is killing them. real estate speculators or economists or the politicians (of ruling and the opposition parties) do not acknowledge it. people ask why banjara hills or jubilee hills or a top leader’s constituency cannot be displaced
we fail to see these questions appropriately because our ‘intellect’ is not trained to appreciate problems of the poor people in adequate way. we become dumb as problems belong to the poor people and not constituencies of political heads or VIPs. displacement problem dies before it becomes an issue when it belongs to common man like the koyas of polavaram dam or pothyreddypadu or pulichintala
yours sincerely
